What version of SH are you using? I seem to remember that this issue was addressed in the latest release. But, I'll have to check.

Whenever you post an issue please provide:
The device your using,
The version of Android your using, and
The version of SH your using.

I have also noted this and mentioned it in a post or two. Ive seen the total file size reach close to 36MB. Im not convinced that this is what has been causing all my lagging and force closes but Im sure its not a good thing that it keeps eating up data. Im using a MotoDroid on 2.01, and the latest SH update.

I believe I am about to take SWP2 off my phone soon for this reason. I really love it and love being able to get the creative juices flowing designing my very own theme down to the last detail, but I hate the way hangs for a few seconds when you press the home button to wake it up or back out of an application. Only if you have been sitting there using the phone for a few seconds does it ever transition to different pages as quick as it should. I don't know if this can be attributed to it taking up more and more space on my phone, but it surely is not helping. I do know that every time I have ran Advanced Task Killer, it shows less and less available memory. I am now down to less than 20mb after every clean. Like I said, the two could be totally unrelated, but when I was running home++ and using ATK along with their built in task killer, I was getting around 40mb of memory and never having problems with fc or lag. SWP2 is very awesome and I hate to see it go but, what good is an awesome looking phone if it bugs the hell out of you to try to operate it. I hope they make it faster for the market release.
And what IS up with the data thing? I have had it for about 5 days now and up to 15mb!?!?!

I've logged this. Dev will be looking in to it.

I think i have an idea on what could be the problem.. cache.. after reading this thread I went ahead and checked SH app size on my phone.. no big at all like u guys.. but then I thought.. I don't check for themes or download them very often.. so I went ahead and browsed through the recent thems and all of the other lists and did a couple of searches, then I went back and surprise the app was .01 mb bigger!!.. so I'm thinking that all that data that the app should store as cache is been stored as data instead.

That may be some of the issue mac but I dont think its the whole deal. I rarely download themes. In fact I usually download one just to show people what can be created and whats out there on the sweeter home server. Then I tend to delete it. Ive done this maybe three times. Since then Ive gone through and cleared caches and so on. Sweeter home still grew after that. The only sure fire way to reign in SH's ever growing size is to uninstall and reinstall. Even without browsing the themes server I see data growth. I'll try one more thing. Uninstall, reinstall and not do ANY editing for a few days and see if it grows or if it grows at the same rate that it has been. I would still like to hear something from the dev regarding this because it kind of seems like a big deal and no one else is really commenting on it. Wait and see I guess.

Just an update. I went a week with out doing any editing or browsing on the server. Just using my phone as normal (text, phone, web browsing, gaming, camera/video, gps nav etc...) SH reached 70MB. I uninstalled and reinstalled three days ago and SH is already approaching 22MB. Again, this isn't a deal breaker, its just one of those things thats annoying when you have to uninstall and reinstall every two weeks or so to keep the size in check. Glad to hear the Dev is looking into it.

^ since my las post in this thread (14 days), the app size has grown only .29, why would we see such a big difference?

@macprv No idea. Im waiting for someone with more knowledge in this area to tell ME whats going on hahaha.
