Mar 9th build... seems much better
Added by cowpoke about 2 years ago
I dont know why but the March 2nd build seemed slower than the prev build on my phone, but this march 9thhone (765) flies! No forced closes yet and scrolling around is very smooth. Odd that there is so much of a difference on a 7 day difference in builds.
BUT....
Now when i switch between themes from my sd card I have to reset up my widgets every time...this never happened before. This kinda stinks because I have a normal theme I use and a car theme I use with larger buttons and different layout for making nav and music easy to use. Having to reset up all the widgets on each switch makes the idea of using two themes not worth it.

Yeah, from dicussions with the Dev, this is actually intentional. Memory handling around widgets in Android sucks ass by default. So he's had to forcably un-bind widgets on each theme load. This means that ONLY widgets you have actually running in a theme consume memory, rather than widgets installed on your phone but not actually running on your theme stealing memory.
He's actually going to approach Google with a bunch of issue and suggestions around widget and bitmap memory issues in Android - but any kind of progress may be some time away.
The upside is that we'll all be running Snap Dragons with 512-1GB of RAM in the next 18 months anyway... :)
