Is anyone running stock 2.1 able to use live wallpapers? For some reason I am unable to switch to a live wallpaper while running sweeterhome.

As far as I know, SH2 doesn't and doesn't intend to support live wallpapers. At least not until all the other bugs have been worked out.

Well. Just switched back to gde until sh2 supports live wallpapers. Been waiting too long for this darn 2.1 update to not use all of it.

That is a shame... nice little addition to my droid and I intend to use it. I hope they do eventually add the option to SH but for the time being it is off to Panda..

Meh, for me the added functionality of SH2 is worth far more than live wallpaper.

I agree with jsroberts, but I do understand the coolness of live wallpapers.

I rooted and upgraded to live wallpapers over a month ago so by now its lost it "Wow!" factor and I can see that its just an eye-candy drain on the device's resources. The only live wallpaper I really liked was the earth one with real satellite cloud maps- because its real information and I like seeing the larger weather patterns and where the sun is.

Other than that... I got over them pretty quickly. I was disappointed at first that SH2 doesn't support them but its adds so much other functionality that it doesn't really matter. Half the time I don't use a wallpaper at all with SH2, now, because the theme I'm using completely covers the screen.

I think the dev plans on including live wallpapers at some stage in the near future. He asked me about it the other day.

Whether or not everyone agrees on the aesthetic of live wall paper should not be the issue. Please don't bash those who want to use this function. I for one would also like the opportunity to use these wallpapers with SweeterHome; please add my vote to develop for this!!

I'm sorry if my comment came across as bashing. I too would enjoy wallpaper. I'm just saying that between the nice aesthetic of live wall papers and the functionality of sweeter home as it currently stands I'd choose functionality.

Had to switch (upgrade) ROMs because of a SH issue I was having. Basically, I think wiping data fixed my issue, as I had tried everything else.
Anyway, now I have live WPs, and I'd love to use them also.

Darn. Have been checking all the time for a new version, and here it is! I really thought this would include the fix for live wallpapers, but no luck.
