Build 825 on Froyo 2.2 Bugless Beast 0.4
Added by pedxing over 1 year ago
I had previously been on 802 and Bugless Beast 0.2.1 build. Attempts to move to SH 811 met with extreme instability. I had tons of FCs and memory errors. I've now upgraded to BB 0.4 (with the the default kernel) and just updated to build 825 and am happy to report all is well. No problems with the upgrade, didn't have to reload my theme even.
Still get the acore force close with a contact shortcut on a custom tray, though. That's the only issue so far, and I'm not sure it's a SH issue.
Performance is very good. No more lag when returning to the home screen.

I installed this on newly flashed Kangerade V0.3.4 last night, although I have not had much time to test yet.
I did not see as many errors on reboot with this build as I did with the previous version, but more testing is needed on my end.
As mentioned, the acore issue is still there with Contact shortcuts. I can say that these shortcuts work in the stock home of that build, so that points to SH, but does not completely rule out the ROM either.
Still having the widget issue with widgets that are not constantly polling data freezing and being unusable (for example, Facebook Widget or Beautiful Home always work, but something like Beautiful GPS, which opens a system menu, or Beautiful WiFi which toggles WiFi, or Color Note, which opens a sticky note do not). Again, I think this is a SH issue, since these work fine in the stock home.
Have not spent any time doing heavy editing yet, but will try to get to that over the weekend.

Quick update. Flashed the newest Jrummy Kangerade build compiled from the more recent Froyo code and the widgets are behaving now. So, difficult to tell if it was something specific to the ROM (don't think so, since a couple of other people reported this as well) or something with the Froyo build, but all seems to be well now.
