htc hero unable to login ?

Description
Hi I installed the original sweeterhome from the android marketplace, then I installed the new ver 2 one from the website, as it seemed glitchy, I unistalled both versions and re-installed ver 2, however I cannot login (message -ensure you are connect to the internet) I have a strong gps signal and wi-fi, but neither works, I cannot loanew themes either.

The server was down for a couple of hours. It should be back up and working fine now.

Hi, thanks for your help, however I have tried again today several times, but a pop up message quickly informs me that I need to connect to the internet, it's almost as though the HTC Hero was blocking any outbound connection, but apart from un-installing and re-installing the program, I can't see any other way of clearing the phone memory of the program/history, so I don't know what to try next.
Any ideas ?
