Custom Tray¶

Custom Trays are unique in Sweeter Home as they are the only block that can receive standard shortcuts (in addition to app short cuts). Bookmarks, direct-call shortcuts, application specific shortcuts (like Gmail labels or notes) etc can all be placed in a Custom Tray. You can also add a Springboard icon to a custom tray although there are some limitations here - See Springboard Overview for more on this.

Custom Trays can also receive replacement icon shortcuts as generated by apps like Better Cut. There are some things to note when setting up custom icons using this method so read here for more: Receive Shortcuts.

When uploading a theme that contains custom trays there are a couple of things to consider.

Firstly, Custom Trays will upload in an empty state unless you set Embed to Yes. This is because personal and private info like direct call shortcuts would send to the server and become public. If content in your Custom Tray is integral to your theme and should be shared (like apps or non-personal shortcuts) then set Embed to Yes. Read Embed Content for more.

Secondly consider locking your Custom Tray. Locking a tray means that you avoid accidental removal of icons from the tray by dragging and dropping. If you've set up your Custom Tray in a way that doesn't require changes then lock it. Read Locked for more.
