Picture¶
Display a picture in your Sweeter Home theme. The image sits on the same Android layer as app icons and move with your theme, independently of the wallpaper while swiping horizontally between screens. The image block can display the system wallpaper, an image from your SD card, or even an image from the internet using a URL.
Images can be JPGs or PNGs. PNG images can make use of transparencies.
When you save a theme to your SD Card or to the Theme List the images in your theme are packed into the SLX file and will display when other people apply your theme.
If your image sits on a Layer Level above other Blocks you can still interact with the lower blocks through the image.
When you first add the image block to your theme it defaults to the system wallpaper, layer 10, and 'Scale to fully use block'.
Images and memory¶
Everything you see on your screen is drawn by Android. As you use bigger images in your theme more memory resource is used to display the images. Use images carefully in themes with thought towards the image file size. While testing your theme you may notice lag or jitter while using images. Make an effort to edit your images to a point where they look good while not taking up too much memory.
